Winery Architecture Sonoma Sebastiani

This Sonoma Winery Architecture included the renovation and redesign of the historic building for Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery. The process was started by a mandate from the City of Sonoma for a seismic upgrade for the original masonry building and came to encompass a redesign of the existing buildings and addition of new structures.
The design included a tasting room, VIP tasting room, tour area, banquet facilities, retail sales, storage and offices. MAD Architecture‘s task was to integrate the influences of the Italian immigrant founders, the Spanish missionaries, the wine industry and three generations of a family business into a dynamic visitor experience.
In the Tasting Room an eighty foot long bar curves the length of the tasting room. The bar’s counter top is concrete and the front is a limestone plaster. The room was heightened and brightened with vaulted ceilings and custom light fixtures.
