This project started as the addition of the Forum Room and during the design work, our contract was modified to include evaluation of the HVAC system. The Forum room is an adaptable, acoustically quiet space windows set high and low to allow for AV presentations without traffic distractions. The space includes a kitchen for community events, a direct connection to the lobby and to the book store. The library had no identifying signage and there was not enough in the budget to include it. Our design incorporated as an architectural feature the large back lit letters clearly stating the institution as LIBRARY.
